PADI Divemaster Training

The Divemaster Training is the first step for those who want to work with scuba diving. As a divemaster, your main role is organizing and leading recreational dives.

To become a PADI Divemaster you need:

  • Be a Rescue Diver

  • 18 years old

  • Logged 40 scuba dives

  • Completed EFR Primary and Secondary Care training within 24 months


Instructor Development Course (PADI IDC)

As an Instructor you can also guide divers, but your primary role is to teach. This is the biggest difference between divemaster vs dive instructor.

To become a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor you need to be complete a PADI IDC and also you need:

  • Be a Divemaster

  • 18 years old

  • Logged 100 scuba dives

  • Be a scuba diver for at least 6 months

  • Completed EFR Primary and Secondary Care training within 24 months

If you don’t have any course or are just an Open or Advanced Open Water Diver, but want to become a dive professional the GoPRO Program is the best option.
